How To Tutorial

TaiG is compatible with all devices running iOS 8.1.3, 8.2, 8.3 and 8.4. You must also remove passcode and TouchID protection before jailbreak (re-enable once complete), you must also turn off Find My iPhone. Turn airplane mode on and you must have an iTunes restored version the iOS you are running or plan to jailbreak. You can download all iOS firmwares from the downloads page.

If TaiG produces an error saying Apple Driver Not Found the you can download the 64-bit version from here

UPDATE x1: iOS 8.3 is no longer being signed.

  1. First you need to download TaiG for Windows from the link provided below. (TaiG is a Windows Jailbreak tool, you could use a virtual machine in your OS X)


  2. Then you need to connect your device to your PC and run TaiG as administrator.

  3. Then click Start and TaiG will being the jailbreak process. (will reboot multiple times). It is important to note that when the device reboots, you should unlock your device as that appears to help the jailbreak and not doing so may result in the jailbreak being stuck at 30% or 60%.

  4. Once the TaiG tools says 'jailbreak suceeded' that's it! Your done and can begin to enjoy all the tweaks that people love.
